What is the English Language Social Club?
English Language Social Club is a non-profit language learning community that meets regularly for social events with the sole purpose of practicing English and making friends.
The events are free to attend, but with a minimum fee to pay for food and drink (or the entrance tickets if we go to the cinema).
Our recent events have had between 50-100 friends participating.
It's usually the same group of friends, but any newcomers are welcome.
You will need to have at least a pre-intermediate level of English (A2) to take part.
We have every level from A2 to C2 advanced students, but the average level is about B2.
Our recent events have included:
- Cinema with original language, undubbed English language films
- Wine-tasting in English
and soon to come:
- Walking the Dog in English
- English Language Sports Club.
But what we seem to like best is bars and restaurants with a buffet where everyone can walk around and interact.
